At last! I finally have found a few snippets of 'international televised glory', appearing in an episode of the fascinating Greek language documentary series, "Beyond Borders", broadcast on the national Greek TV channel EPT3...

This particular episode was on recreating

Excerpts of an interview about the story of my lyre music has just gone to print today in "The Hindu"; India's no.1 literary English daily and the biggest English language newspaper in the whole of Southeast Asia!

I am delighted to announce an epic collaboration with the Egyptian film music composer, Remon Sakr

For my collaboration in this project, I provided an ancient Egyptian-themed improvisation for lyre, which Sakr orchestrated for two of the tracks for Sakr's debut album,
"The Epic of Thebes (Story of Passion & War)" - an epic musical journey into the era of Pharaoh Ahmose I and his struggle against the Hyksos...

It is my ongoing musical mission, to reintroduce the recreated lyres of antiquity and the ancient musical modes and intonations once played on them, back into the modern musical world - part of that mission is, of course, to inspire other musicians/composers with a similar vision, to take part in this 'new ancestral music revolution', which hopefully some day, will bring back some spirit to our soulless, sterile modern musical experience - I am delighted to announce that this musical mission has already bore its 'first fruits'!

Let me introduce my most enlightened 'lyre disciple' to date - the young and upcoming Spanish composer/performer of the recreated lyre, Antonio Fernández Blázquez...

In Anontio's own words:

Little did I think, that the rough audio from a 'live' video I recorded in my spare room one dull February evening in 2008, (as well as the studio recordings I released in my albums which were eventually inspired by it), would be featured in the Daily Mail, used in support of international museum exhibitions in Ontario and Chicago, appear in a host of hallowed academic web blogs, Fox News, Classic FM, India TV News, National Geographic Magazine, featured as a prelude to a new album by the Nevada Death Metal Band "Blasphemous Creation" and even in a blog in the mainstream rock and pop NME magazine!!!

The original 2008 video featured a grainy, 'live' from my spare room performance of my own arrangement of Dr Richard Dumbrill's interpretation of the 3400 year old Hurrian Hymn from Ugarit as notated on the website of Clint Goss - the oldest known written melody, so far discovered, in history....

Roll over, Mendelssohn!
My music will soon be as popular as his iconic 'Wedding March' - I quite literally just stumbled across a video of a Roman-themed wedding somewhere in the USA, featuring my very own Roman-themed lyre music...

The video featuring track 1 from my album "Ode to Ancient Rome" being played as the bride and groom move towards the site of the suitably sacred ceremony:

My music is certainly 'getting out there'!

Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Stravinsky? They can now retire - I bring forth into ballet, my awesome lyre!

I am delighted to announce that my composition for solo lyre, "Nero's Lyre" is to be featured in a new ballet production "No Lander" by Riccardo Buscarini - to be performed live at the London Place Theatre on 28th October:

I am getting airplay of my Roman-themed compositions for solo lyre, on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire at 6 pm on Sunday 3rd May, 2015!

The show, "Naked Scientists" is about volcanoes and will features clips of my Roman-themed compositions "The Temple of Mars" from my album "Echoes of Ancient Rome""Gloria Belli (Glory of Battle)" and "Tristitia (Sorrow)", from my album "The Ancient Roman Lyre", played during a reading of Pliny the Elder's first-hand account of the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 CE...

The show will also be out then on BBC iPlayer.

For anyone who simply can't wait and feels the need to be up at the crack of dawn, the show will also be on BBC Radio 5 Live on Saturday 2nd May 2015 at 5 am!

The show will also be going global on the Naked Scientists podcast - at last, my lyre music will soon be erupting all over the known world!

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed about my lyre music by the New York City-based radio producer, Zach Martin for a radio show, which will later be broadcast globally as a podcast!
