Apollo's most famous association with prophecy is through the Oracle of Delphi. The Oracle, a woman named the Pythia, would go into a trance and deliver cryptic prophecies in Apollo's name!

Aptly featuring once again, my Luthieros ‘Lyre of Apollo III’, this piece features the poignant and dreamy quality of the ancient Greek Phrygian Mode. Misnamed the ‘Dorian’ mode by scholars during the Middle Ages, the actual original ancient Greek Phrygian Mode was formed of the conjunction of 2 tetrachords, which formed the equivalent intervals as D-D on the white notes of the piano.
